Sparkles has been a true friend to Fenrir in a way that few of us could ever be. Scrubbing bilges is her speciality, in between drawing complex wiring diagrams and fitting wooden floors. But that’s just the warm up act for what is to come!

 

The picture on the right is Sparkles taking a break from training for the Marathon des Sables 2007, or indeed, was it Karate Kid 10? Perhaps just a fag break. Anyway, I can’t remember the reason, but I do remember the training! A few hundred generator lifts, several bilge scrubs, the odd swim (possibly unintentional), not to mention all the slow-burn day to day ship maintenance. All done one-handed (due to a tragic accident with a push-bike). With Sparkles on your team, you don’t need a team!
