Welcome!
Do you remember the good old days when everybody on the internet just linked to each other*? Now-days it’s all PAY PER CLICK, PAY PAY VIEW and SOCIAL NETWORKING. Soon it will be PAY PER WORD READ. Well not here! We want a return to those good old days because they were jolly good, old, days.... hmmm. Well, anyway, it’s time for a revolution!!

*Probably because...  (i) we were all trying to work out hyperlinks, and (ii) it was the only way any of us got any traffic.

This is just so exciting, I’m even more overwhelmed than I was on the homepage. What do I do?

Well, if you have a website to do with boating, link to us, and we’ll link to you! Formulaically, this complex relationship can be expressed as follows:

A > B > A

Our Links
Top Links...
AC Marine - If you need a barge moving, or some work done, these are the people.

Vince Service Van - Well, if you find yourself stuck in a barge in Holland, needing some technical assistance, Vince is your man. Strictly, he prefers old American cars to barges, but Fenrir owes much to Vince’s help, ingenuity and technical expertise. (vinceservice @ zonnet.nl)

Brons Motor - If you own a Brons engine, we’d love to hear from you... but ‘Ad Langelaar’ would love to hear from you even more. He’s keeping the flag flying and he can help you keep your Brons flying too!

Edward Burrell - Writer of the simply excellent ‘A Guide to Motor Barge Handling’ (essential reading in our view) and also a very nice man!
NB. This is a link to the book on Amazon.

Generally, but not exclusively, concerned with big, old boats.
Other Boat Owners...

Barging Baileys - We don’t just experience boat envy, but occasionally lifestyle envy! This is the blog of our ex-neighbours as they tour Europe in their barge Lobelia.

Boats are for Losers - A blog from another of our ex-neighbours  and their barge Serenity. They ran off to another location, but despite this, we have forgiven them and still love them to bits. They have the original Captain’s Blog. It’s better than ours. Just like their boat.

MS Watergues (Living Afloat) - Frederic Logghe dropped us a line when he saw our website. Turns out we used his website many times while researching buying a barge. A great website to check out!
